
Have you ever stopped to consider what a belief really is?
Most people haven’t. Yet, everything we do – every choice we make – is guided by our core beliefs.
Beliefs are thoughts.
But not just any thoughts.
Beliefs are thoughts we strongly agree with, hold onto, and don’t question.
When we strongly agree with a thought and choose to make that thought unquestionable, it transforms that thought into a belief.
Our beliefs are the foundation of how we see ourselves, others, and the world.
We think thousands of thoughts every day, yet we never examine or question our core belief thoughts. Our core beliefs direct our decisions, influence our relationships, and even determine what we think is possible. Unexamined, our core beliefs can become like invisible chains that bind us and limit our freedom.
The empowering truth is this: we can review our core beliefs. We can examine them and change them if they are not serving our current needs. Once you recognize that beliefs are thoughts you deeply agree with, you can begin to let go of the ones that no longer serve you – and replace them with new understandings, new beliefs that align with the life you want to live.
